I have finally gotten the hang of this blogger website..I think!
Some different ways I would use Blogger would be for instance using it like a live journal to recapture my lesson plan for the day. I would post it in my blog so that maybe other teachers could comment on it and possibly help me to make the lesson better or more fit with the age group I am working with. Another example of using the blog in the classroom could be with older kids maybe having a class discussion blog where everyone could share their thoughts on what is being taught and what they need help on in the class. Some other ideas for using the blog could be describing what worked and what didn't work in the classroom for me, providing how to's on homework problems, and possibly even getting other teachers advise throughout the year by communicating on the blog. I think using the Blogger website in the classroom is a great idea and I also feel that in the long run it may help statistics in the classroom, as far as writing skills and possibly test grades because they could discuss what they are having problems with that day or week.

ReplyDeleteI like your idea of putting the blog out there with your lesson plans for other professionals to comment and help your own development, but I think it would be a great idea to make the recaps available to parents and possibly students as well. Maybe the same post on two different blogs so that parents and students could not view other teacher comments but were able to feel involved as well:)
