Thing #1

Hello All!

After reading and listening to 7 1/2 Habits of  Highly Successful Lifelong Learners, I came to the conclusion that my easiest habit would be Habit 7 1/2, to Play.  I feel that it makes it easier for students to learn if the lesson is not only educational but fun as well.  This will help keep the student's attention on the lesson rather than day dreaming.  The hardest habit for me is Habit 4, Having Confidence in Yourself as an Effective Learner.  When it comes to school work and studying for me I always jump right to "I don't understand."  I never take the time to actually practice problems or look over something twice instead of once.  I need to build my confidence in learning if I would to become an effective teacher.

Setting up my blog was farely easy, with the help of my fiance and my brain we got it done within a few minutes.  I hope to learn all kinds of interesting ideas through Web 2.0 and I hope my first blog wasn't a failure.  I look forward to writing more post in the future :)

  1. I have never thought of myself as having trouble with being confident in myself as an effective learner. After the way you described yourself and your own challenges with this habit I saw a part of myself. Thank you for being so honest with yourself and us out here.
